From site measurement to released design, without the WhatsApp back-and-forth

Made-to-order manufacturing has a problem that standard ERPs never solve well: every order is a new product. A window fabricator does not "sell SKU 4521". They sell a 2400 × 2100 mm three-panel sliding door in a specific series, colour and glass, drawn for one customer's opening, approved by that customer, signed off by an engineer, and only then cut, assembled, glazed and installed. Miss one step and you have an expensive frame that fits nowhere.

NewGen ERP was built with a uPVC and aluminium windows and doors manufacturer to run exactly that flow. It is a manufacturing ERP for engineer-to-order and configure-to-order businesses: fenestration, modular furniture, kitchens, façades, signage, HVAC ducting, and any fabricator whose product starts as a drawing.

What the demo shows

The screenshot is a live design record, DSN-20260907-000001, sitting in the "With customer" stage. You can see the full lifecycle on one line: Draft → With customer → Customer approved → Engineer signed off → Released. The elevation drawing is generated from the specification (series, type, size, panels, colour), with fixed and sliding panels marked and dimensions shown. Buttons on the right export a PDF, let the team annotate, raise a revision, or generate a customer approval link, so the customer approves from their phone and the approval is stamped into the history with who, when and which revision.

Modules in NewGen ERP

  • Configurator — build a product from series, type, dimensions, panel layout, profile colour, glass and hardware. Rules stop impossible combinations before they reach the factory.
  • BOQ — bill of quantities generated from the configuration: profiles by length, glass by area, hardware by count, with wastage factors per series.
  • Designs — drawings, revisions, annotations, history and component lists, with the approval workflow above.
  • Measurements — site measurement records with opening dimensions, tolerances and photos, feeding the configurator directly.
  • Catalogue — series, profiles, hardware, glass and accessories with supplier links and costs.
  • Orders — customer orders bundling multiple designs, with stage-wise status from confirmation to installation.
  • PPC (production planning and control) — cutting lists, job cards, machine loading and shop-floor status per order line.
  • Inventory and stores — profile bars, glass, hardware and consumables across stores, with reservations against orders.
  • Procurement — purchase requisitions driven by BOQ shortfalls, POs, GRN and supplier bills.
  • Quality — inspection checkpoints at cutting, assembly, glazing and dispatch, with defect logging.
  • Executive MIS — order book, WIP, on-time delivery, material cost variance and margin per order, for the people who need the numbers without opening a module.

Who this ERP is for

uPVC and aluminium window and door fabricators, façade and curtain-wall contractors, modular furniture and kitchen manufacturers, glass processors, and any make-to-order factory in India with 10 to 500 people that currently manages designs in CAD exports, quotes in Excel and production on a whiteboard.

Why not a generic manufacturing ERP

Generic ERPs assume a fixed bill of materials. In fenestration the BOM is born with the order, changes with every revision, and must be approved by a customer who is not an engineer. NewGen ERP treats the design as the master record and derives everything else from it. That single decision removes most of the rework, and most of the arguments.

Bring a real drawing

Open the demo, then send us one of your typical orders: a measurement sheet and the drawing you would normally make. We will configure it in NewGen ERP with your series and show you the BOQ, the cutting list and the approval link, end to end.
